The
BlueScope Steel Awards of Excellence were held on Saturday
July 17th at Woonona Bulli RSL Club. Special guest presenter
Matt Russell from WIN News did an excellent job of hosting
the awards and his follow up story on Monday night on WIN
News was deserving of an Award of Excellence. Thank you Matt
and thankyou WIN News.

Since
1906 Australia's surf lifesavers have saved over 500,000 lives.
Last season in the Illawarra we can again proudly declare
No Lives Lost on Patrolled Beaches during patrol hours. As
volunteers how are we able to achieve and sustain our service
to the community? - It is by partnering with sponsors and
government that we are able to educate the public and provide
safe beaches throughout the Illawarra. It is a real team effort.
